Two methods for making soft molds

Pouring(molding): The prototype is directly embedded in the mold rubber, and the prototype is taken out after vulcanization to obtain a negative silicone rubber mold. 

It is necessary to strictly control the generation of air bubbles when casting with this method. Because the thickness of the entire mold is not uniform, it takes a long time for the mold to vulcanize.


Lamination(brush): Apply a certain thickness of mold adhesive layer on the surface of the prototype, and then increase the thickness of the mold layer by layer. So it can greatly reduce the amount of mold glue, reduce production costs, and the quality of the negative mold.


Note

Addition liquid silicone rubber and condensed liquid silicone rubber should not contact or mix with each other, otherwise, the liquid silicone rubber will be "poisoned" and the liquid silicone rubber will not be cured;

The addition-type liquid silicone rubber should not be in contact with water, impurities, organic tin catalysts, acids, or alkalis to avoid the liquid silicone rubber not curing.
