Silicone oil has extremely high commercial value due to its unique chemical and physical properties and is widely used in industrial and commercial fields. The main members of silicone oil are polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and other siloxane polymers with organic groups replacing some of the methyl groups. These substituents are mainly phenyl, vinyl, amino, and epoxide. These polymers provide high heat resistance, thermal oxidation resistance, non-corrosiveness, and lubricity. Sometimes, to meet specific application requirements, reactive organic groups to the siloxane polymer obtain modified silicone oils with specific properties or reactivity.
